On a personal note, Dr. De Souza comes from a large family and is a native of Buffalo, NY (Go Bills!) but now lives in Montgomery County with her handsome husband, two very active children and their grumpy old dog.

Biography
Dr. De Souza has been recognized by patients and parents to be a caring and compassionate dual board-certified pediatric endocrinologist and general pediatrician. She has won awards including features as a Top Doctor in Bethesda Magazine and Maryland Magazine. She has also been featured on the TodayShow.com and BuzzFeed.com.
Education is a central part of Dr. DeSouza’s life. She began her studies at the University of Rochester in New York, where she studied neuroscience and then received her MD from SUNY Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore and then completed fellowship training in pediatric Endocrinology at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center with affiliations at the Hospital for Special Surgery and Memorial Sloan Kettering.
Working with children is a calling and Dr. DeSouza finds it incredibly rewarding to assist children and their families in building a strong foundation for a lifetime of great health and wellness. Families appreciate her warm and personable nature and the time she takes to truly get to know those in her care. She genuinely treats patients likely she would want her family to be treated.
